Design and construction of a new 6,500m2 3 storey high quality council offices including laboratory facilities and council chamber accommodation for Roscommon County Council on a restricted site involving the retention and integration into the design of fragments of existing walls of a 19th Century jail.

The project also involved works to a Protected Structure, the Courthouse, including the partial demolition of a 1960’s annexe and refurbishment of the original courthouse structure.
The completed project achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating and a Building Energy Rating of A3 through the use of innovative environmental solutions.
BIM was utilised on this project. Compliant under current Building Control Amendment Regulations. This project was the winner of the Sustainable Project of the Year and Architectural Project of the Year at the Irish Building and Design awards 2016.

Complete Mechanical Installations including renewable energy technologies, low carbon technologies and low energy passive design and stringent design goals to achieve a BREEAM “Excellent” project.
